Tour of Scotland 2023.
Here at Irish Music Tours HQ, we’re always looking for new and exciting destinations to bring our friends to, and this year, we have put together an awesome trip to Scotland for 2023. We asked our past guests who have been to Scotland with us before, what were the highlights of their trip? We have taken the most popular and packaged it into, what we think, is the best small tour of Scotland on the market today. Picking up in Glasgow, this tour makes its way to Fort William for 2 nights, know as the Gateway to the Highlands. Nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis, Fort William is the perfect starting point on our journey through the Highlands. Ben Nevis distillery calls us for a little dram before payin a visit West to the picturesque fishing village of Mallig. Stopping off at the Glenfinnan monument on route we’ll keep an eye out for the Hogwart’s Express passing by. As we leave Fort William our journey continues further west to the beautiful Isle of Skye. The largest of the Inner Hebrides, Skye is full of history, scenery, characters and mythology. We spend two nights here exploring all that the Isle has to offer before making our why North. Inverness is our next port of call, labelled the capital of the Highlands. It is the perfect base for the next two nights. A visit to Loch Ness is a must with a cruise down the Loch to the beautiful Urqullart Castle. A visit to the Battle of Culloden site and a tour of Fort George are also on the cards. As always, the evenings are your own to explore Inverness, its pubs, restaurants, and of course the music. The final leg of our trip takes us south to the capital Edinburgh for our last 2 nights. A visit to Edinburgh Castle is top of the list. Standing on Castle Rock it dominates the Edinburgh skyline. Cobble streets leading up to the entrance, history just oozes from every door and window. Following a tour, you get the opportunity to do your own exploring of this wonderful city. Check out old town, the narrow alleyways old buildings, traditional pubs and amazing restaurants. The Royal Mile, Full of shops and souvenirs, tarten and kilts and small museums will fill your time (and your suitcase) giving you the ultimate Scottish experience.
The tour runs from the 11th to the 19th of September 2023 and is limited to 14 places so early booking is advisable.
