Answers to some common questions

The Tour

What type of tour is on offer?

We are offering an Irish Music Session experience. Our tours will travel from either Dublin or Donegal, (depending on the package), to various destinations around the country. Each night we will stop in a different location and have a session in one of the local music pubs. While travelling between towns, we will stop at some of the well known Tourist Attractions and Heritage sites. These tours are unique as we have our own group of musicians travelling along with us so expect a few sing-songs along the way!

Are there set itineraries?

The tours will only travel between towns already mentioned; however, subject to availability, daily activities may change to suit particular groups needs.

Are the departure dates set?

Yes our departure dates are set.

Are the departure dates guaranteed?

Dates are guaranteed once we reach our minimum tour quota which varies per tour package. You can contact us for further details.

How many people does the tour cater for?

The maximum we can accommodate on one trip is 16 people.

Are the tours suitable for solo travelers?

Absolutely! We can guarantee you will not feel like you are travelling on your own by the end of the first day! Please note however, there is a single supplement charge for solo travelers.

Do passengers have much free time on the tour?

Our sessions will take place in the late evening so there is ample opportunity to explore your surroundings once we have arrived at the destination.

What time and where does the tour depart from?

Each tour package has it’s own departure date and departure destination. Check individual itineraries for further details of email us. We would ask that you be at the designated meeting point at least 15mins before hand to ensure we arrive at our destination on time.

Which airport should I fly into?

Dublin Airport is the most convenient airport to fly into as some of our tours depart from Dublin City Center. For tours leaving from Donegal Town you can get the 030 Bus Eireann service from Dublin to Donegal Town. *Airport transfers are not included in the price*

What accommodation is included?

We have picked some of the nicest hotels and guesthouses to stay in on our route. The price is inclusive of breakfast.

Are there baggage restrictions?

Yes. We can only allow for one small suitcase per person or one large suitcase per couple (plus instruments)

Are there any age restrictions?

The tour itself has no age restrictions. However, due to Irish licensing laws, children under the age of 18 are not allowed on licensed premises after 10pm during the summer season. As our tour centres around public houses and bars, it is up to the parent to arrange any childcare needs after 10pm.
